Love and Deepspace…the game that reached United States’ and China’s top charts in the play store is a game that I have downloaded on my phone as well. I started playing this game the moment it was released which was on January, 18, 2024. Honestly, I was playing this game religiously because I was obsessed with the characters and their stories.
My main go-to was Xavier before Infold (developer company) released Sylus and Caleb. I chose Xavier because I really enjoyed his lazy and calm personality…and the way he behaved when he was passionate for the heroine.
Thoughts on the Gatcha System
This game made me wait for each card release but I wasn’t really a fan of the gatcha system, because of how expensive it could get and how they added the 50/50% chance to pull the limited banner OR a 5 star of the generic pool. If you played from the start, you’d remember that that wasn’t a thing, but y’know corps be wanting to drain your wallet like a vampire sucking blood. Just want more, more, more! (But which mobile game isn’t like that nowadays?)
Despite that, I was still pretty interested in keeping up with the card updates so I did my dailies and weeklies religiously even after Sylus and Caleb was released.
Why I Chose Caleb (My Brotherrr)
If you don’t know already from my featured photo, my main guy is now Caleb……(sorry Xavier) I just really like brother type personalities……NOTHING more, don’t question me! Okay, fine, to elaborate – I enjoy Caleb’s soft and serious sides and that when he becomes protective he just wants to keep the heroine to himself.

Aren’t we just adorable? Hehehehemuahahah
Gameplay: Battles and Mini-Games
*cough* For the game play, I’m not a fan of the battle system or the kitty card mini games. Their battle system has really evolved from the moment the game was released until now. I could go on a whole spiel about the reason why it is so bad, but the tldr version is that it’s not very engaging, just brain dead tapping skills to defeat the monsters, and you really need to upgrade your cards to max (requiring lots of money) to clear the later levels. On the other hand, the kitty card mini game is cute and you get fun dialogues from the characters, but it’s only fun until it becomes a daily grind…which by the way, I stopped doing after the first few weeks when I started the game. Now, I ‘sometimes’ click into that mode to collect chocolates (in-game currency) to exchange for things. I’m sad to say but I fell into the dev money trap and shamelessly spent a lot of money to get the cards I want.
Events: Hit or Miss
I think some events are a hit or miss. Most of them get repetitive in terms of mini games but so far, the anniversary event has been the best one for me at least. There are two mini games, one is like a character exploration (picture 1) and the other is ice skating (picture 2) music game.

To be transparent, I mostly just click the icons and tap through the dialogue to finish up. I’m not too interested in what the chibi version has to say.

The game’s second part kind of reminded me of osu where you tap the circle at the correct moment. This mini game isn’t challenging at all to me.
Will I keep Playing?
Although I love the events, they are time-consuming. The modes are time-locked, but with having to do all 5 characters, it does become a little overwhelming to do it all at one sitting. (The reason why I do this is because I have OCD, and if I want them done, it needs to be done!)
Will I keep playing this game? Yes, I am still waiting for even juicier character cards to come out.
