Happy new year! Let’s set the year off with some positivity — Today I had no work and hung out with some friends whom I haven’t seen in awhile.
We met at a mediterranean restaurant named Mazra, and it was pretty good!
Mazra and its Must-Try Drinks and Appetizers
This was my first time going to this restaurant so I scanned what people ordered and noticed almost all of them had this on their table:

Their mint lemonade definitely had a strong mint flavor, but it wasn’t overpowering. I think the lemonade balanced out the flavors and I can see why people like it.
Another item I ordered was the Halloumi Cheese Roll because I love anything with cheese, AND it was a ‘starred’ appetizer so I assumed it was also a popular choice.
It was so crispy outside, creamy and cheesy in the inside, and paired really well with the honey.

Main Courses and Surprises
For my main dish, I ordered the double kebab plate with two meat choices.
I decided to have the chicken and filet mignon [for $2 extra]. The meats were tasty and had a lot of flavor, but were a little bit dry.
They also came with pita bread and two dips of your choice.
I chose the cucumber yogurt and baba ganoush dip but did not take very good pictures so I didn’t upload them.

This one was my boyfriend’s order and we were both really surprised by the size of this.
The dish included seasoned rotisserie chicken, dips, and fries.

Food Court and Board Gaming
After lunch, we headed to a mall…not to shop…We actually stayed a few hours at the food court dining area to play board games.
Yes, we are nerds.
We played a fun card game called Danmaku, but since we had six people in our group, there was a lot of waiting for each turn.
This game isn’t very popular and is based off the game from Touhou.
That pretty much sums up my day with my friends.

If you guys are familiar with other board games, you should know how long each game lasts…My friends brought other games too but since the mall closes at 6pm for the New Year, we only had time to play that one.
After one game, I was tired of using my brain so I went to walk around to stretch a little and windowshop.
I hope everyone was able to spend time with their friends, family, and loved ones.
